need help with my wii

my brother in law did a softmod and it didnt work out and he try to restore it to the original and when he done and turn it off and turn it back on it just show a black screen and it controllers cant connect

Most common issues with black screens, yet the most easiest fixes to em..:
Are the controllers charged (Not dead)?
Is the Wii plugged in correctly?

it is plug in but is not even going to wii menu just black screen but anyways i just got a new one 3 weeks ago
